The Conway Writers’ Group will provide an hour of stimulating and exciting readings at the Faulkner Library on September 27 from 3 to 4. The readings will celebrate the theme of ArtsFest: art and science. Audiences of all ages are welcome.
The Conway Writers’ Group believes writing to be an art that explores the world of words. Members read aloud from their own works and those of others who have inspired them.
The group, founded in 2006 by Shirley Barnham, consists of adults of all ages coming together at the Conway Senior Wellness and Activity Center each Friday from 2 to 4. All genres are welcome.
Currently about 15 people regularly share their muses, with the subjects varying from science fiction and suspense to romance and genealogy. There are poets and journalists, magazine writers and biographers; published authors and those who want to be, as well as those who write for their own benefit and satisfaction.
