The Faulkner County Library announces the first annual juried exhibition presented by ArtsFest 2015, the Faulkner County Library, and the UCA Blackbox Student Gallery. “Reimagine Society” is the theme of the first annual juried student art exhibit presented by Conway ArtsFest and its partners, featuring the work of emerging artists. The exhibition explores the themes of recycling and science through the eyes of emerging artists.

“Reimagine Society” is open to students currently enrolled in one of Conway’s institutions of higher learning: Central Baptist College, Hendrix College or the University of Central Arkansas. Recent alumni (graduates of 2013 and 2014) are also welcome to submit entries.
The 2015 juror is Dr. Ann Prentice Wagner, Curator of Drawings at the Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock. Dr. Wagner has extensive experience in the curatorial field, most recently working at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery. At the Arkansas Art Center, she has been instrumental in bringing Important exhibitions to Arkansas including Portraiture Now: Drawing on the Edge, a traveling exhibit from the National Portrait Gallery. Wagner holds a PhD in art history from the University of Maryland.
